Website Redesign

7 signs your website needs a redesign (that customers notice first)

6 min read

A website doesn't have to be broken to be a problem. Most sites that need a redesign still technically work — they just quietly lose trust and customers every day. The tricky part is that business owners look at their own site far less often than their customers do, so the warning signs are easy to miss.

The first sign is slow load time. If your pages take more than a few seconds to appear, a meaningful share of visitors leave before they ever see your offer. Speed is also a ranking factor, so a slow site hurts you twice.

The second is a poor mobile experience. Most people will visit your site on a phone first. If they have to pinch, zoom, or hunt for your phone number, they'll usually just go back to the search results and pick a competitor.

Other signs include dated design that undermines credibility, confusing navigation, weak or missing calls-to-action, thin or disorganized content, and declining search visibility. None of these require starting over. A focused redesign preserves what's working, fixes what isn't, and protects your existing rankings along the way.

If two or three of these sound familiar, it's worth a look. Send us your site and we'll tell you honestly whether a refresh, a redesign, or just some SEO work would move the needle most.
